thimbleful thoughtful

Which is the important part?
The desire part? The being desired part?
The action?
Or just the thought of the action?
Which part is the part necessary for happiness?
Which part can one shed, and still have sufficient substance?
How important is the Other, when compared with the idea of an Other?

  1. I think it's the desire. One of the guys I work with "publishes" (prints on 11x17 paper, staples, distributes throughout Athens)---oh wait, it's the guy I told you about. Le sigh. Anyway, publishes this little magazine called "Gunslinger," and this month it was all about memory and desire. I'll show it to you this weekend. Point being, I've always found the action disappointing with anybody that wasn't just utter wonderfulness/love (I'm not just talking about THE action. any action. a conversation. whatevs.), so that just kind of leaves the thought of the action (which is really just the desire) and the being desired (which is really just the desire to be desired . . . so, the desire). And, you know, the desire.

    That's my two cents?
